Abstract | Between the end of World War II and the beginning of the peace period, almost two million German women were raped by Red Army soldiers. In the Soviet occupation zone and then in the GDR, the silence that fell on the victims was particularly strong because of the new political context. However, during therapeutic interviews conducted in the context of stays in psychiatry or psychotherapy, some of these women evoked this sensitive and painful subject, ten to twenty years after the events. Based on psychiatric and psychotherapeutic records of these statements, this article examines the experiences of these women, amalgamating multiple accounts in non-linear time, and examining the way that the matter was regarded. |
