With a focus on the period of the Second World War, this illustrated book examines the integration of women into the armed forces of Nazi Germany, the Wehrmacht, as so-called Wehrmachtshelferinnen (auxiliaries of the Wehrmacht) and Blitzmädchen (communications  and air raid defense assistants). The book provides in the first part  a brief historical overview of the  integration of women in the German Wehrmacht and in the second main part  an extensive selection of  commented photos and graphics.
