The French Armies in the Seven Years' War: A Study in Military Organization and Administration

This study examines the millitary organization and administraion of the French army during the Seven Year's War. The monograph is an important contribution to the history of warfare in Europe in the eighteenth century, and particularly valuable are its analyses of the French logistical organization and of the professional shortcoming of the French corps of officers.
