Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum

Presidential Libraries are not libraries in the usual sense. They are archives and museums, bringing together in one place the documents and artifacts of a President and his administration and presenting them to the public for study and discussion without regard for political considerations or affiliations.

The first Presidential Library, the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum hosts a virtual research room and digital repository, called  FRANKLIN, that provides free and open access to the digitized collections of the Library. It hosts over 800,000 pages of archival documents and 2,500 historical photographs, along with many detailed descriptions of archival collections not yet digitized. Holdings are related to the life and presidency of Roosevelt, as well as the activities of Eleanor Roosevelt, as well as of other important figures of the Roosevelt Administration (1933–1945), like Henry Morgenthau, Jr..
