Abstract

This book chapter explores the idenity conflicts religious women faced in Norway during the Second World War. Often they were torn between their national and religious identity, i.e. the fight for a liberation from the German occupation as part of the resistance movement in Norway, and their duty to obey the orders of their church and act obidient and not rebellious.
