Abstract | This article on global humanitarian intervention, published in the magazine Foreign Affairs, argues that disbanding humanitarian military intervention could assist more people in need and at a lower cost to the U.S. government. The author proposes that U.S. foreign policymakers in the early 21st century should adopt a strategy of what he calls a humanitarian foreign policy. He argues that such a foreign policy should focus upon public health, natural disaster aid, and refugee assistance. |
