This work is a series of 109 volumes concerning the war efforts of the British state during World War I. The series includes volumes on the chronology of the war, military operations on the Western Front and in the Middle East, statistics about the war, wartime transportation, naval operations, air operations, munitions, and medical information. Volumes were generally written by retired military officers.
