A project of the National Archive of the Netherlands (Nationaal Archief), gehetna.nl offers users access to millions of photographs, government documents, private letters and historical maps. In addition to sources on everyday life, the archive also contains unique documents from Dutch history dating back centuries. Searchable and offering full-text resources, the site also provides commentary and essays. Although primarily in Dutch, the site offers considerable English–language functionality.
