No habrá más penas ni olvido / Funny Dirty Little War

Based on a 1979 novel of the same name by Osvaldo Soriano, Funny Dirty Little War is a black comedy tackling Argentinian politics during the Dirty War (1976-1983), a period of nation-wide state terrorism by the military junta. The deputy mayor of a small town, Fuentes (Federico Luppi), is a stubborn man. When local Peronists, who are colluding to oust him from office, demand he fire his Marxist assistant, Fuentes refuses to cave to political pressure. As the conflict mounts, Fuentes transforms his office into a fort to launch a full-on attack against his opponents, resulting in a violent war that mercilessly pulls politicians, police and students into the fray.
