War Against Women and Women Against War: Waging War on the Mind

Women must struggle to free themselves from the patriarchal oppression imposed by neo-colonialist interests. Such interests have worked in tandem with religious fundamentalists to ensure the continued enslavement of women's minds and bodies. The U.S. has been a major player in nurturing the rise of fundamentalism in the Arab region and Israel, using religion as a means of keeping wealth and power in the hands of the ruling classes. The matrix of fundamentalism and colonialism works to commoditize women and use them as the mouthpieces of fundamentalist capitalism. Unless women work to free their minds and bodies from the patriarchal control exercised by capitalism and religious fundamentalism, there can be no hope of transforming the world.
