Abstract

"Bloody Sunday" was the deadliest conflict of the Troubles, which this film documents through the eyes of Ivan Cooper (1944–2019), played by James Nesbitt. Cooper was a member of the Parliament of Northern Ireland and a founding member of the SDLP. He helped to organized the Northern Ireland Civil Rights Association march in Derry on January 30,1972. British troops opened fire, killing 14 and shooting 28 unarmed civilians in public and in front of the press.
