Abstract | This article examines the important role women played in the Russian Revolution of 1917-1923. This time period was a paradox, at the same time having a government lavishing promises on the populus but also featuring enormous deprivation and a frightening social disintegration. Clements here looks at the experiences and motivations women had during this period, and how women reacted to Bplshevik appeals to garner their favor. |
