Abstract

This documentary chronicles four American women mathematicians who worked as human computers at the University of Pennsylvania during World War II. Their work calculating ballistic analysis helped with the development of the first computer (ENIAC) that helped the U.S. military improve its accuracy. The film is notable for showing women's diverse contributions to the war as well as the limitations they experienced.
